BS-MS Dual degree programme | |
We offer a five year dual degree programme for students who have passed class XII. The first year of the programme consists of core courses in basic sciences, the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years are dedicated to specialization in chosen minor and major subjects. The final and fifth year includes a research project from your chosen major subject. | |
Entrance Exams and Eligibility | |
The admission for the BS-MS dual degree programme is managed by the Joint Admissions Committee (JAC), headed by a Chairman and having members from all the participating IISERs. The details regarding admissions in IISERs can be obtained at the following page: www.iiseradmission.in | |
Students can be admitted to this programme through the following channels: | |
1. Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) basic science stream. 2. Joint Entrance Exam (Advanced): Students securing a place in the rank list of Joint Entrance Examination for Admission to IITs. 3. State and Central boards: Students eligible for INSPIRE scholarship from Department of Science and Technology (DST) on the basis of their scores in class XII after clearing an aptitude test. Reservation rules regarding General, OBC (Non Creamy Layer), SC, ST, and PD candidates are considered as laid down by the Government of India (Central Education Institutions, Reservation in Admission Act, 2006). |

Scholarship | |
KVPY scholars admitted to IISER-Bhopal will draw fellowship as per KVPY norms. In addition, a limited number of INSPIRE scholarships will be available for candidates admitted through JEE advanced and SCB channel as per the norms prescribed by DST INSPIRE scheme. |
